I got my new DK55C with the KL 2385 Backhoe in April 2004. I bought my tractor from Homeland Equipment in Danville Kentucky. The folks at Homeland Equipment were very knowledgable and very nice. I also got a 7 rotary cutter from Homeland Equipment that I ve been pulling with the DK55C and it pulls it with absolutely no problem at less than full power. I ve used my backhoe to dig trenches for laying conduit and cable, and also for pulling trees out of gulches on my property. I haven t once run the tractor at full power, nor have I needed to.
With temperatures around 90f, the cab and A/C have been really nice to have while bushhogging.
I ve added a HAM radio in the cab so I can talk to my other HAM friends while I m working as well.
The cab is so quiet that the other radio operators can t tell I m on a tractor. The DK55c handles sweet. My property isn t completely flat, it has lots of terrain changes, and the 55 has handled
all of it with no problem. It came with a lot of features, and is very economical to run.
I had more than 22 hours on it before I had to add any diesel at all, and I probably could have gone longer. Nice job on the DK55C, and my thanks to the nice folks at Homeland Equipment for their great sales, service and delivery.
